At Housing Resource Center we are driven by the idea of preservation. Not preservation of the past (which we also do). We are concerned with the preservation of affordable housing. We strive to provide those most in need of housing with the means by which to attain a home.

Preservation comes in many forms:

  • Project Development: We have developed communities that were specifically suited for seniors, those with disabilities, homeless individuals, and people and families with very-low, low, and moderate incomes.
  • Project Management: We currently manage 11 properties in north and south Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. We provide assistance to current and future tenants. We also get them property and maintenance help.
  • Disposition: We’re a non-profit, but have funded projects through the development and sale of properties, revitalizations, and new structures.

We also work to promote affordable housing programs and the legislation establishing it, and have campaigned for increased assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the expansion of Section 202 and Section 811 programs.

At Housing Resource Center we turn affordable housing into a place called home.
