• 2000 Presentation to the HUD Conference in Baltimore, Maryland: “Keeping the American Dream: Meeting the Challenges of the Golden Years” which dealt with the layering of HUD projects with other funding resources in the development of senior housing.
  • 1999 A workshop for the National Rural Housing Coalition in Washington, D.C. This workshop focused on the development of rural housing initiatives for seniors.
  • 1999 SAHMA Presentation on the role of the non-profit development in housing development on a panel with current acting FHA deputy assistant secretary for multifamily development.
  • 1996 A workshop on “Housing Options for Seniors” sponsored by the Benevolence Department of Church of God International in Cleveland, Tennessee. This workshop was part of the Church of God’s development of a strategy to meet the needs of the elderly in their local communities. This workshop was also attended by the Church of God’s Association of Black Ministers.
  • 1996 A seminar on “Utilizing Section 811 Housing for the Development of Housing for Persons with Mental Retardation” for the Southeastern Methodists Association for the Retarded in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. This seminar was part of a working group involved in developing housing for persons with mental retardation throughout the southeastern district of the United Methodist Church.
  • 1994 Presented a seminar on “Housing Resources for Persons with Disabilities Utilizing RTC and HUD Programs” in Dublin, Georgia. This seminar was part of a Partnership Development Group sponsored by the Middle Georgia Easter Seal Society.
  • 1994 Presented a seminar on “The Availability of Housing Options Utilizing RTC Properties” in Savannah, Georgia that was part of a Center Directors Association of Georgia Summer Conference.
  • 1994 Presented a “Housing: Financing Options for Community Living” conference in Atlanta, Georgia that was part of a Legislative Day Conference sponsored by the Georgia Network for People with Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities.
  • 1993 Presented a “Housing Opportunities” workshop in Washington D.C. This workshop was part of the Seminar “Optimizing Federal Financing and Natural Supports for Collaborative Community-Centered Incentives for Transition from School to Adult Life for Persons with Disabilities” sponsored by the United Cerebral Palsy Associations.

  • 1989 Co-Presented “The New Section 202 Program: Creating Residential Living Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities” workshop in Washington D.C., San Francisco and Dallas. This workshop was sponsored by the Housing & Community Development Resource Center

  • 1987 Presented a workshop on the development of housing for persons with developmentally disabilities at the policy conference, “Disability Policy: The State of the Nation” sponsored by the University of Maryland and held in Washington, D.C.
